Its size is not skimpy as well as it has a good weight which is neither too heavy nor too light. She loves the chenille fabric as it doesn’t slide off the bed like the satin type fabrics. At the time she ordered this comforter, it was listed on Amazon for $105.00, less than Bed Bath & Beyond. She believed that the price has gone up since she ordered it. It was a great deal and a gorgeous addition to her bedroom, she exclaimed. Another satisfied user said that the rich colors of this comforter set coordinate beautifully with the color scheme that they have throughout their house. It is thick and plush, and because it is a nappy chenille, their kitty cat will not destroy it with his kneading. The comforter, bed skirt and shams are quality made with thick solid piping on the edges of the comforter and shams. The jacquard fabric on the comforter and shams is tightly woven yet not so tight that any little snag will show. Stitching throughout is very well done. The shams have quality material on the non-facing side and have a French slit to put the pillow into the sham. Also, the comforter has sewn circles to help keep the filling in place. She further disclosed that she had a horrible experience with lesser quality material on bed skirts ripping but not with this bed skirt. The material on the part that goes under the mattress is regular material, not thick paper-like ‘fabric’ of lesser quality sets. Instead, the material is thick and sturdy which holds up to the wrestling it takes to get it under the mattress. Additionally, the comforter has a green tone to it but surprisingly it has a definite golden tone. It shines in a subtle way that light up the room. The skirt is very green and also has a shine. He conveyed that if your concern is color and texture, and the comforter set is anything like the drapes, then GO FOR IT. The color is rich and the fabric beautifully textured almost like tapestry. Another reviewer pointed out that she decided to buy an expensive comforter set for once. However, what she got here is a very thin comforter. The face fabric is pretty, heavyweight with good quality, but the batting is extremely thin and flat, hence, the comforter is not overstuffed by any means. The manufacturer put a thicker batting around the edges about 5 inches in perimeter, and the thickness there is about 1 1/8 inches, the rest of comforter is 1/4-1/3 inches thick at most, it seems like there is no batting at all. She added that it’s a blanket with a heavy raisin covered facing, not a comforter. It is very warm like mentioned in other reviews, and she thought this is what she needed for the winter, but it’s like sleeping under the rug, not soft, not cozy at all, hence it will do good if used for decoration purposes only. It lies very flat, not as seen in picture. The backing on both shams and comforter are made out of very cheap and low quality cotton. It also slides from the bed during the night, and since it’s heavy she finds it impossible to pull it back. This particular user was disappointed because this set is very expensive even on sale. She paid $200+ for “the pretty face”. On the other hand, one grateful customer said that it has lots of beautiful colors. Whenever you add some leather and suede pillows along with a solid sheet trimmed in a “barbed wire” decoration look will create a literally fantastic appearance.
