One male reviewer said that he bought the drapes, not the comforter and wrote a rave review for them. He conveyed that if your concern is color and texture, and the comforter set is anything like the drapes, then GO FOR IT. The color is rich and the fabric beautifully textured almost like tapestry. Another reviewer pointed out that she decided to buy an expensive comforter set for once. However, what she got here is a very thin comforter. The face fabric is pretty, heavyweight with good quality, but the batting is extremely thin and flat, hence, the comforter is not overstuffed by any means. The manufacturer put a thicker batting around the edges about 5 inches in perimeter, and the thickness there is about 1 1/8 inches, the rest of comforter is 1/4-1/3 inches thick at most, it seems like there is no batting at all. She added that it’s a blanket with a heavy raisin covered facing, not a comforter. It is very warm like mentioned in other reviews, and she thought this is what she needed for the winter, but it’s like sleeping under the rug, not soft, not cozy at all, hence it will do good if used for decoration purposes only. It lies very flat, not as seen in picture. The backing on both shams and comforter are made out of very cheap and low quality cotton. It also slides from the bed during the night, and since it’s heavy she finds it impossible to pull it back. This particular user was disappointed because this set is very expensive even on sale. She paid $200+ for “the pretty face”. On the other hand, one grateful customer said that it has lots of beautiful colors. Whenever you add some leather and suede pillows along with a solid sheet trimmed in a “barbed wire” decoration look will create a literally fantastic appearance. It was delivered as promised and is far more beautiful than in picture.
